our family trip to estes park.
august 2014.
for christmas mike and patti, drews dad and step mom
decided we were going to meet up with his sister who lives far away now.
colorado seemed like middle grounds.
they made fun shirts and we took some pictures!

okay so i wanted to start with those pictures and prepare you for the magnitude of our family.
and this is just one side.
like people this is just immediate family.
haha anyways we started our journey on a saturday.
long day of driving.
(and no we did not drive like this)
we just had many feeding breaks and stops along the way.
so i documented.
lesson learned babies do not love to be in the car for over 10 hours.
avery actually did quite well on the way there, the way home was another story.
none the less we arrived!
avery got to meet some more cousins.
who just loved on him all week.
and the little girls well they settled right in.
i'm sure iv'e mentioned this before but jamillie, emery and stella are so close in age.
i think it's fun we get to have so many cousins :)
the next day we did some swimming.
honestly i could be incorrect on the days.
it's all a blur now haha.

another day we went on a tram ride.
it was so pretty to see the mountains clear up there.

that we tried to shove so many people in.
when we got to the top we took a little walk and fed the animals.

he was just too darn cute.

we kinda have the best dad.
on top of the world.
some fun grandpa time.
then we fed the chipmunks.
the kids thought it was pretty neat.

then we shoved on a few more trams and headed back down.
another day we went to the national park.
it was beautiful.
had some lunch and did lots of driving.

like the sky was so blue.
and we finally spotted an elk.
the brothers thought the glaciers were pretty cool.
then on the way back after looking for wild life all day we found some llamas!
haha they are great.
next adventure hiking/climbing.
haha so many strollers.
some tiny visitors.
oh and a baby tree.
last summer we were also in colorado and i got a very similar picture.
so we had to re-create.

then for the climbing.
drew has really gotten into climbing lately.
so it was fun to share it with our people.
i literally got two feet and chickened out.

then grandpa had a turn repelling.
we went to dinner one night.
